120 Arka Korablja community announces two-day “Fundraising and building a relationship network" which will be held in Zagreb on February 28 and March 1, 2019 in the premises of the Tribune of the City of Zagreb, Kaptol 27. The workshop is intended for fundraisers of various types of non-profit organizations, either beginners or experienced fundraisers. The workshop offers concrete tools and key information for successful fundraising and networking relationships. The importance of building a relationship network in fundraising often not recognized. Building a dynamic network of relationships means sharing with others the desire to change people’s lives for the better. This workshop will teach you how to tell “your story” and encourage people to support you financially. The workshop will be led by international and domestic educators with many years of fundraising experience for various international projects and development programs. The price of a two-day workshop is 600 kn. The price includes lunch for both days, fundraising manual, and other work materials. The workshop will be held in Croatian and English. LECTURERS Director of L’Arche International Fundraising for Europe Curt is an educator, fundraiser, trainer and creative director from Decatur, Georgia (USA). For 30 years, he has held various management positions at L’Arche (Arka), and is currently working to improve L’Arche’s innovative community model that transcends the boundaries of “disability,” building friendships and support and creating profound change in society as a fundraising director. for L'Arche International. In addition to its own fundraising activities, Curt mentors offers trainings and workshops in different cultures, which include the United Kingdom, Ireland, Egypt, Croatia, Germany, India, Australia, Lithuania and Italy. Curt lives with his wife, Anne-Christine, and their 4 children in Compiegne, France. International ambassador of L’Arche International for Croatia Robin came to L’Arche in the north of France 22 years ago as a young volunteer. He now works as an educator who has spent a number of years in various management positions at Arca, particularly highlighting 11 years as a director of various Arca communities. He has extensive first-hand experience in direct fundraising managing a range of development programs, as well as in building a network of relationships with individuals, philanthropists and intensive work with various charitable foundations. He holds a degree in management in social welfare, human resources and finance. Fundraiser for Arka Korablja Matej started in 2014 as a volunteer in Arka Korablja. He has been doing his homework there for 4 years fundraiser, which allowed him countless encounters with various people and provided him with a rich experience of “telling a story”. He has a degree in entrepreneurship from VERN, and he understands fundraising not as a job but as a vocation to live with people with intellectual disabilities.
