International Federation of Communities of L’Arche or L’Arche International

is the umbrella organization which gathers all of L’Arche communities in the world. L’Arche was founded in 1964 in France, and is currently active in 37 different countries in various cultural and religious contexts. L’Arche International offers its support to communities by helping them to live their mission to the fullest extent. It promotes respecting cultural and religious differences between communities themselves, as well as solidarity at an international level. It also makes sure that the L’Arche values are applied in harmony with the local culture, traditions, and social and economic circumstances in which the community is working.
