Seven members of our community had the opportunity this summer to stay at Our Lady's Home in Slano near Dubrovnik, at the invitation of our host, Don Stanko Lasić. After a hard journey, which was accompanied by a song all the time, we found ourselves in Slano, surrounded by oleanders, palm trees, olives and the scents of pine and rosemary. The sea and the beach were just what we needed after a long winter, so the airs and sunscreen were used properly. Every day, apart from swimming, we tried to use the time to tour this beautiful area. So we visited Ston and its saltworks, the Arboretum in Trsteno, and the most impressive trip was a tour of Dubrovnik. Our dear host Don Stanko is the cathedral pastor of the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Dubrovnik and we believe we could not have had a better guide around Dubrovnik. Our itinerary included all the important points in Dubrovnik, including a boat trip to the hot but beautiful island of Lokrum full of Mediterranean vegetation and domesticated peacocks. Our vacation ran parallel to the victories of our national team, which only added to our happiness index. We returned home tanned, happy and full of new memories. We would like to thank don Stanko for hosting us!
